I need to "make a decision" at the server end with, perhaps, some sort of CFIF construct springing from the time at the user's end. I am looking for a way to have a browser request send with itself the user's local time, then set this as a session variable upon which conditional logic could be applied. One thought that I haven' explored yet is to use a hidden form field. Use javascript to get the local time, set a value, then (unknowingly) the user causes this value to be sent to the server, a session variable is set and then elements in the site can respond accordingly to the user's time value.
