Do you possibly have more than one version of Access running? Is CF opening
the file in it's native program and version? I seem to remember getting a
similar message when ever opening an access file in an older version than
the file was created in.

Subject: [ACFUG Discuss] MS Access Issue

I have a CF App that is attempting to open an MS Access Database - when
Access is opening the file, the following message is produced: "You do not
have exclusive access to the database at this time. If you proceed to make
changes, you may not be able to save them later.". I've verified that there
is no other users opening the file or working with the file in any way when
this occurs. It does appear that a record locking file is created when the
user opens the file through the app. They are able to go directly to Access
and open the file successfully without the message, so it appears that the
issue is the way that I'm opening the file through CF
- I'm just using a cflocation to open the file. Has anyone experienced this
issue and know how to open the file without getting this message?

Thanks for in advance for the help.
