That's odd - I'd have to think that's almost certainly related to the built in Webserver. If you switched to using IIS for the webserver it should fix your problem since IIS would process the page and CF would never even touch it.
In the scenario below where you are creating an html page, does the same thing happen to the html page if you edit that?
