i've talked to my director about it and it may be something down the
road but not in the budget right now.

i wouldn't use the new tags in anything going on the prodcution box
but would like to check them out which is why i'm considering this
option right now.  i just wanted to make sure that there were no
serious changes in the ways some tags behaved from 7 to 8 that would
cause apps to blow up when i put them on production.

i figured if i started playing with it on my machine and learned some
of the new tags/functionality of 8 that i would be able to present a
better business case for putting 8 on the live box.
