CF8 is a real upgrade. There's a ton of great stuff that's well worth the
money.

Programming wise, the old tags work just like they did before, just faster.
They clearly refactor some code with this.

i've talked to my director about it and it may be something down the road
but not in the budget right now.

i wouldn't use the new tags in anything going on the prodcution box but
would like to check them out which is why i'm considering this option right
now.  i just wanted to make sure that there were no serious changes in the
ways some tags behaved from 7 to 8 that would cause apps to blow up when i
put them on production.

i figured if i started playing with it on my machine and learned some of the
new tags/functionality of 8 that i would be able to present a better
business case for putting 8 on the live box.
