Robert,
Are you sure you need crypto, specifically symmetric crypto? Most
times I see it used it is done incorrectly and insecurely. What are
you trying to do?

Yes. Asp.net has better encryption capabilities than CF. Might
require a few lines of code but it is readily available. Visual
Studio makes it easy.

Subject: [ACFUG Discuss] multi-language encryption
A recent project has brought a security question between CF and
ASP.Net.
Can I assume ASP.Net would have AES encryption/decryption
capabilities and that if the key was available decryption would be
possible?
What I am looking to accomplish is to encrypt data, transmit
encrypted data, and have the asp.net client be able to decrypt it.
Robert
