Ajas, this seems a good time to make a suggestion: sometimes, trying to
solve a challenging problem on a mailing list just isn't productive.

There can be too many variables, and many hours are spent as different
people throw out different suggestions, and you and they work to get to the
point of being on the same page on things. This could be one of those cases.
Of course, it's your call to continue the back and forth.

It's just that in many cases, it would be far more expedient to have someone
with experience in solving such problems to look over your shoulder
(remotely) to sort out what's up. Now, it may take some time: perhaps 30
minutes, and while some would offer that for free, naturally they can't do
that very often and get their jobs done.

But I will point out that there are folks who do provide such service on a
paid basis. Yes, I'm one of those people but I'm not merely making a
commercial message for myself.

I point to several folks who do this sort of consulting at a category on my
CF411 site:

CF-oriented Troubleshooting Consultants

http://www.cf411.com/#cfconsult

Not all of them are willing to work on small blocks of time, though. I have
only a 15 minute initial minimum, and I won't take your money if I don't
solve your problem or you don't feel I provided otherwise useful
information. (Cameron, would you want to add Sumo to that list?)

More than anything, I'm just trying to make sure you (and others) know that
you have options in a case like this. You don't need to spend days of back
and forth on mailing lists and forums, searching through blog entries,
trying to determine if what you read applies to your situation. Of course,
only you can decide when that time spent is more valuable than a little
money in getting some paid assistance.

failed on the data source named "XYZ".

Hi,

Here is a weird thing I noticed and maybe that will help to solve this
problem. If you look at snapshot, there is cfid, cftoken and JSessionID. We
dont use JSessionID ever. So, I checked the session management in
cfapplication tag and it was initially set to yes. I have set it to NO now.
But Yet, I see the JsessionID on every page. As far as I know, you would
have to a. enable J2EE sessions in CF Admin memory variables section and b.
set sessionmanagement to YES if you want to use JSessionID. Correct me if
iam wrong. Also, we do not have it enabled in CF Admin Memory variables
section.

So, I changed the name of application just so that old application name
might be tied to old sessionmanagement set to yes. But still for new
application name with sessionmanagment set to NO, I see JSessionID.

So question is why JSessionID shows up even though I have sessionmanagment
set to NO from application.cfm file and it was never enabled in CF Admin?

And thanks Allen, I will look at the information you gave.
