Note as well that if you have FusionReactor, it can do compression of CFML pages, which is an advantage in a situation like yours where you have no control over the web server. It doesn't take care of the file types that are not processes by CF (like GIF, JPG, JS, CSS, etc.), but at least for the HTML generated from CFML you can achieve some considerable improvements. (FusionReactor is a server monitor-and more-for CF and other CFML and J2EE servers. More at fusion-reactor.com.)
