As part of a small company with large IT needs, this is pretty light.
Patch the server? Build the server! I am DBA, sysadmin, programmer in
(name current directive) language, repair tech, software tech, hardware
tech, outside client support, internal IT support, you name it. If it
can be programmed, plugged in, blink 12:00AM or has been featured in a
technology article, we have adopted it (in a meeting I wasn't at), and
our sales team has already sold something using it, promised it for
delivery next week and its in my "to do" pile next to my express order
for 3 books from bookpool.com on how to do it.
I was a big fan of "_intellligently_ matches sourcing professionals and
engineers _iwth_ suppliers" and "Strong written and verbal comm. skills
with attention to detail and accuracy. " In addition to the irony which
goes great with my morning coffee, I would also guess that an attention
to detail and accuracy would be a Darwinian trait for programmers and
developers - "Did you really need ALL those semicolons?"
At least they weren't asking for a "minimum of 6 years Flex developer
experience" like so many do...

I have to agree with Doug- I mean, among other things, monitoring
incoming email errors on the server, server updates and
administration, as part of the job description of a flex/java
developer? I believe the company is looking for a super hero.

Any JAVA/Flex developers out there looking for a full-time
position? I told Michelle that I would pass this along to the
group to see if anyone is interested. If so, give Michelle a call.
