I have actually narrowed down the problem to full screen mode. It appears to only happen when
stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN_INTERACTIVE; If I "esc" back to a non-full screen mode everything works again and the DG displays correctly. I looked for styles that might be causing the problem, but I'm not using many and it still happens even after I remove them all back down to a basic skin. I suspect this may be a bug in AIR when it's in full screen mode, but I haven't had the time to figure that out for sure.
