You'd have to have a 'default' item to be selected, so my suggestion would
be to add one in ActionScript in any load routine, or modify the XML/data
provider struct that is bound to component. If it's the first one loaded in
combobox, it should display regardless if the index is set to 0 or -1 at
that point. We usually use an ellipse {...}Hope this was helpful - my apologies to others for any waste of bandwidth... Peace... -- Glenn J. I'm pulling a list of values from a stored procedure but don't want the combo box to default to the first one - the user needs to specify the one they want. I saw some blog entries about setting the selectedIndex value to -1, but it still shows the first data item. -- Andy Fox Systems Analyst III Georgia Tech OIT-EIS 404-894-4413 ------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this list, simply email the list with unsubscribe in the subject line For more info, see http://www.affug.com Archive @ http://www.mail-archive.com/discussion%40affug.com/ List hosted by http://www.fusionlink.com ------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this list, simply email the list with unsubscribe in the subject line For more info, see http://www.affug.com Archive @ http://www.mail-archive.com/discussion%40affug.com/ List hosted by http://www.fusionlink.com -------------------------------------------------------------
