I've been looking for a reason to use/learn Mate and I finally got a new project to start on. Otherwise, I've used Cairngorm and things like Cairngorm in the past.

There are probably several of us. Cairngorm will always be around, but for new projects I have always chosen Mate.

As an aside, how many folks on this list are using Mate? I am.

I think you'll find logical points to create new maps as your original map(s) expand. I'm working on a project now where I have a single ServiceEventMap, as suggested in the Mate documentation and in the notes here. But I can tell that I need to break it down further, perhaps to the point of using an EventMap that roughly corresponds to each of my back-end services (i.e., a UserServiceMap, a SomethingElseServiceMap).

The logical divisions will probably become apparent as you work. Might involve a little refactoring (as I'm about to do); but fortunately, because of Mate's modularity, breaking one map out into two or more is pretty simple.
