Please read the discussion list as well. That is actually the place for this discussion :-) > > I only see something (migration to centos6) to avoid any collaboration > with nethesis In that case you have not read properly. Filippo is doing his thing. There were a number of comments from people that they felt that maybe a PHP front end was not the way to go, so I decided to see whether it was possible to move the current front end to CentOS 6 Charlie made the comment quite rightly that rather than talking we should have a bit of 'doing' as well. So I decided use my initiative, get off my backside and have a play. May be you would like to help ? Currently, nothing is 'in' and nothing is 'out'. There is no avoidance. Filippo has been offered assistance and facilities. No one has said he can't do what is doing, or that anyone else can't try some alternatives. > And all new activities were started only after first Filippo's email Indeed they did and it was a good trigger. Sometimes these things are not so bad....... It has prompted a healthy discussion about SME and the form it should take in the future. > > Is there any kind of Project? Milestone? Idea? There are discussions on going - see the discussion lists and archives I hope that we may try and post a few ideas in the next day or two, if I ever get to bed. > If so, where? TBA but I would reckon the wiki would be a good bet. > If not, why? > Because you haven't written any ??? Why should it always be somebody else ??? Where are YOUR plans and ideas ? Also, see above. And please, rather than make demands, join in the discussion and make some suggestions. Since Filippos first mail there has a been a lot of comments and a lot of food for thought. As I am sure you are aware, Rome was not built in a day. The reason there have been no plans is that there have been too many people asking, and nobody wanting to DO anything. I hope you will turn your attention to helping, rather than criticising. I, and several others have tried very hard to see what interest there is in the community for the future of SME. I was up until 6 am this morning chatting to people trying to get opinions and messing about with code. Where were you ? I don't mean to be harsh. But it does get frustrating. I would sincerely like you, and anyone else out there who uses SME in any way shape or form, to help us with that. Let me know what you would like to do. B. Rgds John Copying to discussions, and please follow up on that list. _______________________________________________ Discussion about project organisation and overall direction To unsubscribe, e-mail [email protected] Searchable archive at http://lists.contribs.org/mailman/public/discussion/
