Hi (I still here :) ), Since the beginning of the Xué project I've needed using an open video compression format.
I like the codec released by google VP8, which is the proposed video codec for HTML5's standard. Although I am not very optimistic about licensing issues, may be interesting to know more about the HDL implementation available under a no-cost license in the WebM project site [2].
