I wrote: > the evil noise I reduced recently was about +/- 50 ns. Oops, make this +/- 100 ns. Depends a bit on the monitor. With a modern monitor, I get more jitter but a cleanly shaped signal. With the old monitor, I get only half the jitter but the signal shape is a bit distorted.
This difference is probably caused by signal reflections. The 330 Ohm pull-down on hsync may not help either.
