To make it clear, canceling elections and silently censoring people has
more in common with those regimes than it does with the expectations
people have of Western democracy today.
Most people I speak to about this are surprised to hear that FSFE
doesn't let people vote and many people also expressed surprise when
they found out FSFE, Debian and Mozilla simply remove blogs and censor
mailing lists without any disclosure about the fact they are doing it or
the reason for each case.
