Last Monday, John Sullivan, the FSF Executive Director posted a nasty
put-down on the libreplanet-discuss list, maliciously misquoting[1] what
I wrote and minimizing my concerns. Has anybody seen other examples of
misquoting recently?
When I attempted to reply, he censored me from posting any further
replies on the libreplanet-discuss list. How many other people are
censored there too?
The only way people can continue posting to fellow members of a list
when something like that happens is using BCC.
If the messages are on-topic for the list, I personally have no problem
with it. If somebody else was unreasonably censored or misrepresented
I would want to hear the truth from them too.
This is a situation created by John Sullivan's behaviour. If you can
provide a more constructive way to work around such crude immaturity it
would be very welcome. Suggesting that people should simply vanish from
a mailing list after many years contributing to a community feels
unreasonably oppressive.

Daniel
