Please note: when you get code for a Paypal button from Paypal, it includes a bunch of tracking stuff, including a 1-pixel image file and more that Paypal uses to track people across the internet.
So, please do not use the generic code you get from Paypal but modify it to remove the tracking. And download the button image to host directly so that it isn't used for tracking people. We did this for Snowdrift.coop. The results look like this (with the appropriate stuff instead of [LONGCODE] and [SHORTERCODE]) and the appropriate route which may be different than /static… etc. depending on where you have the image hosted. <form target="_top" method="post" action=" https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" abineguid="[LONGCODE]"><input type="hidden" value="_s-xclick" name="cmd"> <input type="hidden" value="[SHORTERCODE]" name="hosted_button_id"> <input type="image" alt="Donate via PayPal" name="submit" src="/static/img/external/paypal-donate.gif"> </form> Anyway, I'm on this e-mail list and yet I don't even understand what hackadon is or what you're trying to fund-raise for, so obviously communication isn't perfectly clear here.
