You won't be dissatisfied with a used IBM Thinkpad (T40 or equiv) power supply, subject to it not arriving DOA. The biggest problem is cost, it might cost you $30 shipped or so. They attach to the outlet via a standard plug, the transformer is mid-wire, so it doesn't take up a lot of space at the outlet
