hello . im newbie on FreeBSD and i love this System. i want a proxy and bandwith limitter. someone tell me to try PFSense.
i download PFSense and i install with 2 nics re0 = 10.200.1.30 / 24 Lan re1 = 10.200.1.40 / 24 Wan on all xp clients i set gateway and dns the PFSense lan card 10.200.1.30 and is working very vell with firewall can i block ports such as pop3 smtp etc..... is working very well. i install from packages squid in transparent mode and is working very well. my question is . is this system good ? is working this system with traffic shaper ? i install another firewall from this tutorial on pfsense site setting up pfsense as transparent firewall (external link) what is the difference between transparent firewall with my firewall ? what is the bridge ? thanks for understanding
