Usually when people are looking for place to make a convention I offered to check out if they can do it in huji. Usually the answer is that they are not interested in something outside the TA area. I don't know about Haifa, but maybe it will be nice to try to make it in Jerusalem once to see how many people will actually come. BTW I think it's a sort of a chicken and the egg problem, no hamakor assembly because there are no members because there are no hamakor assemblies. I think that Jerusalem/south people are feeling left out (I know I do).
