Wouldn't it be a good idea to start forming an international network of such organizations, so that people can donate to their Free Software project of choice in their own country and enjoy their country's income tax deductions/credits on their donation, even if the Free Software project is run by a nonprofit in another country? The organizations would offset donations from their country for other countries' projects against donations from the other countries for their own country's projects.
