displaytag IS jsp 1.1 compatible and ships with 2 different tlds, a 1.1 and a 1.2 
version.
What problem did you see? Why the JspException use should not be jsp 1.1 compatible?

Well, no answer so I'll try to convert DisplayTag to servlet 2.2/jsp 1.1 
myself. One last time
before it: Anyone have done this before or know how to do it?
