this doesn't sound like a displaytag issue: displaytag doesn't take care at all 
of form submission, it's something you could tipically do using an mvc 
framework like struts or spring.
Please post questions to the user list if you need help implementing things 
using displaytag, and file jira issues only when you think there is a bug with 
the library.
