I am not calling getOutputStream() anywhere in my app. I will look into the error in detail and try to fix the issue and send a report.

I think you're probably one of the early users to run the filter on Weblogic. I don't have access to a Weblogic instance - perhaps you can help verify and fix the issue? > > I added the filter tag to the web.xml and this is the error I get > > <Jan 20, 2004 4:45:15 PM EST> <Error> <HTTP> <BEA-101020> > <[ServletContext(id=32992350,name=capeng,context-path=/capeng) > ] Servlet failed wit h Exception > java.lang.IllegalStateException: strict servlet API: cannot > call getWriter() after getOutputStream() > at > weblogic.servlet.internal.ServletResponseImpl.getWriter(Servle > tResponseImpl.java:181) > at > org.displaytag.filter.ResponseOverrideFilter.doFilter(Response > OverrideFilter.java:106) > at > weblogic.servlet.internal.FilterChainImpl.doFilter(FilterChain > Impl.java:27) > at > weblogic.servlet.internal.WebAppServletContext$ServletInvocati onAction.run(WebAppServletContext.java:6316) > at > weblogic.security.acl.internal.AuthenticatedSubject.doAs(Authe > nticatedSubject.java:317) > at > weblogic.security.service.SecurityManager.runAs(SecurityManage > r.java:118) > at > weblogic.servlet.internal.WebAppServletContext.invokeServlet(W > ebAppServletContext.java:3622) > at > weblogic.servlet.internal.ServletRequestImpl.execute(ServletRe > questImpl.java:2569) > at > weblogic.kernel.ExecuteThread.execute(ExecuteThread.java:197) > at weblogic.kernel.ExecuteThread.run(ExecuteThread.java:170) > > > > Any suggestions > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Matt Raible [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Tuesday, January 20, 2004 4:30 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: [displaytag-user] Re : Export to Excel > > > See #5: http://displaytag.sourceforge.net/install.html > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Krishnan, Mahesh [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Sent: Tuesday, January 20, 2004 2:18 PM > > To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' > > Cc: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' > > Subject: RE: [displaytag-user] Re : Export to Excel > > > > > > Hi > > I got over the Problem of Exporting all Columns without > showing all > > columns to the user.
