It’s a browser configuration issue, I’m pretty sure.  It has to do with how the mime type is configured for your browser.  I’m assuming you’re running under Windows (if not, you’ll have to figure out where the mime type mappings are stored for your particular installation), but try going into Windows Explorer, selecting Tools->Folder Options, click the File Types tab, then finding the Acrobat registered file types (I think just the PDF extension).  Click the Advanced button and edit the open command.  If Use DDE is checked, try unchecking Use DDE and give that a shot.

Oh, I’m not just assuming Windows, I’m assuming Windows XP.  Other Windows systems will be slightly different to get to this procedure, but this should get you close enough, I think.

Subject: [displaytag-user] pdf opens in 2 windows with acrobat 7.0.

Hi All,

I am using displayTag to export in PDF view. It is opening 2 windows, (1st window blank, 2nd actually opens pdf document) with acrobat 7.0. With acrobat 5.0 it opens as expected ie only in one window.

I will really appreciate if someone can suggest a way to solve this issue with acrobat 7.0. Has anyone encountered the same issue before?

Thanks,

Kavita.
