If anything could help, then creating xorg.conf and adding this option to it:

xorg.conf:

Section "ServerFlags"
       Option  "AllowEmptyInput" "False"
EndSection


But for this you must of course be using Xorg, not Xsun.
We tested this with our project´s own heavily patched Xorg. Not sure
if you can get Sun´s default version to work around the TEM problem in
this manner.
