Hi Mys name is Noel Cleere. I am an IT consultant. I support the network and IT needs of about 40 companies and 15 schools in the South East of Ireland. I am presently involved in the development of a website . The URL will be http://www.synapsol.com. The aim of the website is to introduce my clientbase and other users to alternative software solutions and to support and facilitate them in their implementation. The website will only market products that I have used myself and that I have gained a good working knowledge of over time. As I primarily use openoffice.org in my work, I believe that I can promote the product well on my website. I am also offering you any cooperation or resources at my disposal that will help you to promote openoffice.org. Please let me know how I can help. I am at your disposal. Working in co-operation with a number of schools, we hope to deploy openoffice.org as an alternative to the microsoft office product over the coming months. In order to instil confidence in the product and in it's support- particularly among corporates - I need to be able to distribute openoffice.org locally and promote it. Initial reaction to the product is good but there are fears ie support, compatability issues (particularly among companies who are locked in to MS Office and employees who are afraid of change). Hence, any advice or support you can give me would be most welcome. As I work with many computer retailers in the region, I would encourage them to use openoffice.org as an OEM distribution on their new PCs
