now I get a BadStatusLine from within setuptools trying to install
my dev egg.
Speaking of which, I ran into this BadStatusLine issue with some
other eggs, it seems that setuptools could more gracefull deal with
the situation and be more informative, but perhaps it appears
simpler than it is.
If you expect any sort of response, you'll need to provide more
information.
