Of course, this is completely upon your decision. However having public
code repository which will allow easy submission of patches and tracking
of issues/bugs will increase chance that there will evolve contributing
community around ditac. Sometimes it's harder to convince customers to
use ditac over DITA-OT, because your project is not that  visible.
Having public repo on github or other infrastructure might help in this
regard.
