It would be used to connect to a local server. Ethernet and locally attached drives are a PITA or outright impossible to use with cheap Android phones (at a minimum, the phone would need to support USB OTG).

I have a friend who attached an LVDS LCD panel taken out of an old laptop to a Pi. I really like his project which uses a display controller from a Chinese company which sells them for around EUR 30 on ebay. Of course, it's just a panel, no touchscreen. But at least a nice LCD panel. Honestly, I'd prefer my tablet as a controller over a resistive touchscreen anyways. The display would mostly be there to display track info. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ dafiend's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=60637 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102281 _______________________________________________ diy mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/diy
