I have a total of three USB adapters. Two are C-Media and the other is
made by iLUV.
Both of these types are recognized by picoreplayer on my Raspberry Pi 3
when I issue the command aplay -I as below:
tc@piCorePlayer:~$ aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: ALSA [bcm2835 ALSA], device 0: bcm2835 ALSA [bcm2835 ALSA]
Subdevices: 7/7
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
Subdevice #1: subdevice #1
Subdevice #2: subdevice #2
Subdevice #3: subdevice #3
Subdevice #4: subdevice #4
Subdevice #5: subdevice #5
Subdevice #6: subdevice #6
card 0: ALSA [bcm2835 ALSA], device 1: bcm2835 IEC958/HDMI [bcm2835
IEC958/HDMI]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 1: Set [C-Media USB Headphone Set], device 0: USB Audio [USB
Audio]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

and when I issue aplay -L:

tc@piCorePlayer:~$ aplay -L
null
Discard all samples (playback) or generate zero samples (capture)

So picoreplayer is recognizing it.
I can select front:CARD=Set,DEV=0 and piCoreplayer accepts this and
starts Squeezelite successfully.

However, nothing comes out of the headphone jack. I have the HDMI plug
going to my TV and I get sound out of it.
I have seen others talk about getting the C-Media to work with
Squeezeplug so I am curious about what I am missing in my setup.
By the way the iLUV adapter shows up as MicARRAY and can be selected but
it does not work either. No headphone output.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Glenn.
