a couple of suggestions:
On the pCP web page, scroll to the bottom and check you are on the
"Beta" tab (ignore the warning if you are not)
Then return to the *Squeezelite Settings*
Under *Audio output device settings* you should have USB Audio in the
box.
Under Change Squeezelite setttings
Go to Output Settings and click on the red "more" word.
Select an output from there.**
Scroll down and save, then reboot.
**
If one option does not work, try another, just the ones for two channel
output.
ssh into the pi (user tc passwd piCore)
at the command prompt type
Code:

alsamixer
--------------------
then the F6 key on your keyboard and select your device, see what
options you are given for volume control.
Also, under the *Squeezelite Settings *tab.
in the* Audio output device settings *click on Card Control, you may
have more options there

there is a settings on the *Tweaks* page for c-media usb that may not be
needed, but look anyway.
