I agree the idea of setting in a ready made speaker into the cabin. It needs to be either sealed or front ported. But go a stage further and get active mini-monitors that have their own amplification. You are then relying on someone with considerable experience getting the audio side of the project right. Of course by setting them in a box you will be compromising their design, but may still end up ahead.
Note also some active monitors also have an on board DAC and accept S/PDIF input. https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=mini+studio+monitors&adgrpid=102207211617&gclid=Cj0KCQiAq7COBhC2ARIsANsPATEWhcdrQO6S6aViDsuZApV-YeHuJgE7d8BIlC7b3cn4j8Tn9FzgH0AaAhyVEALw_wcB&hvadid=448152573307&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9045801&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=8281851836599938615&hvtargid=kwd-299936434987&hydadcr=22587_1723174&tag=googhydr-21&ref=pd_sl_9jpopvq77i_e_p49 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Behringer-MS16-Personal-Monitor-System/dp/B00181T20O/ref=sr_1_15?adgrpid=102207211617&gclid=Cj0KCQiAq7COBhC2ARIsANsPATEWhcdrQO6S6aViDsuZApV-YeHuJgE7d8BIlC7b3cn4j8Tn9FzgH0AaAhyVEALw_wcB&hvadid=448152573307&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9045801&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=8281851836599938615&hvtargid=kwd-299936434987&hydadcr=22587_1723174&keywords=mini+studio+monitors&qid=1640796769&sr=8-15 I have no idea how much space you have.
