Nobody answered because nobody knows. We had never estimated a release date. You should understand that being a volunteer makes it hard for a person to estimate how much time he can invest in the release. As many programmers know, some problems can be intractable but it's not known until some time is spent on it. > We're not asking for a release date, we're asking for a *rough > estimate*. Sheesh. If you satisfied with guestimates, I venture to say "Summer 2006". Keep in mind that it is officially unofficial, and I pulled it out of thin air. If somebody wants to prove me wrong with a surprise release, I wouldn't mind. ;-) Corollary #1: don't rely exclusively on SVN checkouts, monitor incoming patches, and apply them as needed. Corollary #2: if you start new project, you best bet is to use magic-removal branch.
