1) What are other operation systems that come bundled with Python?
2) What is their market share?

The right question would be: "what linuxes are you talking about?" :-) I 
say RH, Suse, Debian, Ubuntu. Anything else?

Just to give you a background: I specifically had in mind shared web 
hosts, where users cannot upgrade to the latest Python version. I think 
this situation covers 99% of scenarios when a user stuck with what's 
offered by somebody else. Web hosting companies run mostly Linux, some 
run BSD or Windows. From my experience Linux dominates this market 
heavily. That's why I proposed 1 year delay --- to get them time to 
upgrade their servers.
