Hi I must say I'm really annoyed that you cannot use models interactively, or pychecker you model. To circumvent this restriction, I propose to add a module level attribute for model modules, such as
app_label = "applabel" ... I've created a patch for this, see the ticket http://code.djangoproject.com/ticket/1821 I'm reluctant to provide patches for the documentation since it's still being heavily edited. This might be not the ideal solution, but at least it's a help.
