You're right.  Not really sure what I was thinking there.  Must be the
stupidity of a too hurriedly written email. :-)

(Stupidity for confusing distutils and setuptools.  I really didn't
realize setup.py install had been used for years and years.  I've only
been writing Python a couple years myself. :-)
