I am not sure if it is reasonable to use Ajax for "per object 
permissions". But if the decision is made, I can help to move it to 
Dojo. In any case putting any 3rd-party JS library code in Django's 
repository doesn't feel right for me --- we are not going to maintain it 
anyway.
