mod_python support is much older in Django, and thus has got more useage and more testing. Please feel free to file a text suggestion as ticket, that would be very welcome. If you are familiar with patches, a patch would be great! We (noris network) have been using FastCGI on a low traffic customer-only site for half a year without any issue. Perhaps ask at the users list for more feedback in usage. Ehm, and don't use python-mysql with version 1.2.0 in threaded mode. 1.2.1p2 is good.
