Many proposals have been made on this feature, but nothing has been decided upon. For the record, here's my last attempt at a proposal: http://groups.google.com/group/django-developers/msg/2f91fa217bc465bb I'm _very_ keen to get aggregates into Django - it was one of the original reasons I started contributing to the project, but magic-removal, the test frameworks, fixtures, and the 0.96 push took priority. Implementing this feature is also waiting on a QuerySet rewrite. I believe Malcolm said he was working on this, but I don't know how far he has got.
