As far as I know, none of the core development team are actively
working on any form of automated schema evolution. There is a branch,
but it is the responsibility of a volunteer who was writing the code;
if you're interested in seeing that code completed, the best thing to
do is contact the person who was working on it and see about
collaborating to finish the work.
