Well there was this thread [1] about a contrib comments rewrite and Jacob responded that he had something to show in the near future. Because of that I thought about waiting for a few weeks. But until now nothing happened and I didn' had the time to cleanup (unicode support, small fixes) and release my code for review. I posted it into django-developers because I'd like to hear feedback from the core developers. If you like that code or if Jacob finds some interesting pieces in it you are welcome to use it in django. Sorry for not telling about this in the original post.
