I recently ran in to the a problem/snag when overriding the admin index page. The thing is that I would like to change the index displayed for a specific application, and not the entire admin index.
So I though that it might be a good idea to suggest a system where each application has a template (with the module list being the default) that gets displayed on the admin index page. This might also call for an option to override the main admin index page in order to change the way the various indices fit together (layout).
