Hi folks --

Following up from my RFC earlier this week, I've posted the new
release process
(http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/internals/release-process/) and
1.1 schedule (http://code.djangoproject.com/wiki/Version1.1Roadmap).

I've made a couple changes from the drafts:

* I've more clearly denoted that 6 months will be the norm, and longer
schedules the exception. There seems to be a general consensus that
more frequent releases are better.

* I've updated the branch policy
(http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/internals/contributing/#branch-policy)
to explain how DVCS branches will work, and to have more clear rules
for SVN branches.

* I've added an explicit feature proposal deadline (would that be a
"pony freeze", perhaps?) to the 1.1 schedule.

182 days until 1.1...

Jacob
