Basically, subj. I use this functionality myself a lot and don't wanna having to implement it as 3rd-party app anymore.
I found ticket #12651 <https://code.djangoproject.com/ticket/12651>, but it seems to be forgotten. I'd like to start working on it, but want to make sure it is still acceptable officially.
