Actually that was the first thing I did. But no, it has one giant
drawback: because my language of original strings is German, setting
`LANGUAGE_CODE` to 'en' leads to the necessity of having to maintain
redundant German translations (or I get English translations for German
users). Additionally when changing the central `LANGUAGE_CODE` setting you
have to also change a lot of other stuff, e.g. in order for unit tests to
go through.
