I do admit that you have a point; I admit that my response was a bit knee-
jerk.
'''My''' core point, now that I think about it, is not that I'm dead set
against uploading empty files. That test is easily removed, or made
optional.
The real point is: What's holding up the change? Did axiak just not have
enough time?
This is not the only patch in this bug tracker which fixes a real-world
problem. We're carrying ~30 of these in our own repository and, frankly,
I'd like that number to go down, one of these days. :-/
