An aside: docs/faq.txt refers to this ticket, as it explains how to use
connection.queries. Is it preferable to update that documentation to show
how to use the signal, or if the middleware provided above is accepted,
just explain how to use that, and maybe a hand-waving reference at the
signal dispatch?
