I need to review the current code and the patch file as some did not apply
at all (mostly in tests since they have moved in the last 13 years)
Docs need to be added (I need to research this and consider what needs to
be added)
Then I think some feedback would be useful to know if the previous authors
were on the right track and what more needs to be done.
